Men in Sheds

Men In Shed sessions
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10.00am -2.00p.m

Our Men-in-Sheds scheme has been initiated in line with the National Men in Sheds Association menssheds.org.uk, the ethos of which is to  “Improve wellbeing, reduce loneliness and combat social isolation” among men in their communities; giving a safe space for men to chat and share experiences, as well as their skills. The scheme has been proven to provide many benefits to men’s mental as well as physical health and we are proud to be part of it.

At our fully stocked workshop you are assured of a welcome, a cuppa with some great company. We have a wide choice of hand tools, woodworking machinery and some metal working tools too.

Our Shed members are free to use equipment independently once they have completed an induction, but support and instruction is always available from Andrew, our Shedmaster, or the other shed members. It’s a wonderfully collaborative environment to work in.

Anyone is free to bring items needing repair e.g. broken chairs, blunt scissors, rusty tools. You can also ask our shed men to make things such as bug houses, shelves and bird boxes! For details of opening times please view our Diary of Events.
